What is the Cuyahoga Falls Schools Foundation & Alumni Association?
We are a non-profit (501(c)(3 ) organization with a mission to promote educational excellence in the Cuyahoga Falls School District. Through your generosity and desire to give back to your school district and its community, we award scholarships and teacher grants, and foster relationships with current students and alumni.
Led by a Board of Trustees made up of alumni, parents, and community members, the CFSFAA strives to support the students, staff and alumni of Cuyahoga Falls City Schools.
Founded in 1983 by Dr. Harold Wilson, Superintendent of the Cuyahoga Falls City Schools, John W. Steinhauer, Assistant Superintendent, John David Jones, and Gary Marshall.
Initiatives made possible through Cuyahoga Falls Schools Foundation and Alumni Association (CFSCAA) Membership and donations include:
Teacher Grants - Teacher grants are awarded annually to cover the costs or defray expenses for programs that enhance student learning in the classroom. Awards are given for innovative, creative & diverse activities.
Top Tiger - To further support the ongoing efforts of the Cuyahoga Falls City Schools, CFSFAA supports the Top Tiger Awards. Created by the Cuyahoga Falls Board of Education, these awards honor two outstanding students from each building per month at a School Board Meeting. The focus of the program is to recognize students from all grade levels who excel in citizenship, academics, and civic activities within their school and the community. The program allow the Board of Education to publicly acknowledge the positive accomplishments of our students.
