What is the Cuyahoga Falls Schools Foundation & Alumni Association (CFSFAA)
We are a non-profit (501(c)(3 ) organization with a mission to promote educational excellence in the Cuyahoga Falls School District. Through your generosity and desire to give back to your school district and its community, we award scholarships and teacher grants, and foster relationships with current students and alumni.
Led by a Board of Trustees made up of alumni, parents, and community members, the CFSFAA strives to support the students, staff and alumni of Cuyahoga Falls City Schools. Founded in 1983 by Dr. Harold Wilson, Superintendent of the Cuyahoga Falls City Schools, John W. Steinhauer, Assistant Superintendent, John David Jones, and Gary Marshall.
Your Membership and donations provide:
Student Scholarships - Awarded annually to graduating seniors and made possible through donor contributions to CFSFAA.
Teacher Grants - Teacher grants are awarded annually to cover the costs or defray expenses for programs that enhance student learning in the classroom. Awards are given for innovative, creative & diverse activities.
Distinguished Alumni Awards - Awarded annually to recognize alumni for their significant achievements in their various fields of work and/or volunteerism
Top TIger - To further support the ongoing efforts of the Cuyahoga Falls City Schools, CFSFAA supports the Top Tiger Awards. Created by the Cuyahoga Falls Board of Education, these awards honor two outstanding students from each building per month at a School Board Meeting. The focus of the program is to recognize students from all grade levels who excel in citizenship, academics, and civic activities within their school and the community. The program allow the Board of Education to publicly acknowledge the positive accomplishments of our students.
Alumni Services - We host class websites; offer a class funds holding account; update the CFSFAA master list as we communicate with alumni; maintain a vibrant, ever changing CFSFAA website that includes a Members-Only site with Yearbooks, historical Cuyahoga Falls City & Schools information, Reunion ideas, reunion vendor lists, and more; advertise Reunions and Class Get-Togethers; assist in finding a classmate through a class representative page, social media and our office support; email newsy communications to members periodically during the year; promote an annual CFSFAA membership at various levels that encourage Pay It Forward opportunities that support student scholarships and teacher grants.
The Mission of CFSFAA is to promote educational excellence through student scholarships and teacher grants, and to serve as a vehicle for alumni connections.
